Semi-Precious Weapons @ Subterranean
I don’t even know where to start about this show. Semi-Precious Weapons is always amazing and awe-inspiring. On a technical note, this was the first time I used extensive off-camera flash at a concert (three remote flashes)… still needs some work, but I picked a hard show to practice on.

Semi-Precious Weapons @ The Metro

Semi-Precious Weapons is one of the best live bands that you will ever see. This set is from a stop on the Perez Hilton Tour, currently they’re on tour with The Sounds, and next they’re touring with Lady Gaga… it seems like bands keep snatching them up to be tour partners. It’s not a mystery why… full of energy, shocking, and undeniably true to themselves, they never fail to make a crowd go insane. Really, there’s nothing else to say, just go see them. (more…)

Spin Chicago Photoblog 2

My second photoblog for Spin.com was published today.

I particularly like this set of photos because it’s really diverse. I have everything from 80s metal band Steel Panther, Bluegrass from A Night In The Box, a recording session from Treaty of Paris, electronica with Ladyhawke, and Finnish metal with Sonata Arctica. And that’s just the start!

Go check it out!

Semi-Precious Weapons @ Bottom Lounge

Just got back from this show, and I had such a great time that I couldn’t resist posting just one real quick.

Semi-Precious Weapons keeps getting better and better. Check out their Myspace. They are on tour, and you should see them.

A TON more pictures and a proper review/shooting notes to come soon.
