My promo (and my friends!) made it on to the front page of Purevolume.com today!
Head on over there to check it out and to listen to the entirety of their new album. It’s fantastic.
PS. I’m actually having a sale on a book of Quietdrive images right now too, what great timing! It’s the season of Quietdrive!
Sneek Peek :: SR-71, Cinder Road, Wes McDonough

(SR-71 @ Bourbon Street)
I’m in Maryland to visit my family for Thanksgiving, but that doesn’t stop me from shooting. The band that got me into music and concerts, SR-71, usually plays a Thanksgiving Eve show in their hometown of Baltimore, so of course, that’s where I was last night… rockin’ and shooting away. Here are a just a few shots that I wanted to get up right away, since it was such a great show. Full sets to come. (more…)
Chicago Photoblog @ Spin.com

The third installment of my Chicago scene photoblog is up at Spin.com, here. It features bands such as Paramore, Flyleaf, Last Fast Action (my best buddies!), locals Kill Hannah, The Sounds, and Jet… as well as a small guest appearance from Tyler of Darkroom Demons. See if you can find him.
Now that it’s published, full sets of the bands featured will be posted to my blog soon!
Sneak Peek :: Joey Marcantonio

I haven’t been posting much, but I have been taking pictures like crazy (which is the reason I haven’t been around!). I thought I’d post just one tonight, and make it something different… something not live.
This is from a promo session I had with a singer/songwriter this past weekend…. we shot in an indie coffeehouse that he’s been going to, writing in, and performing at for the past eight years. I love when locations have meaning, other than just being “cool.”
More to come later… I have lots of fun shots from this session.
Dragonforce @ House of Blues

Herman Li’s ridiculously fast fingers and flowing hair, dueling keytars, and green striped leggings…. all part of your everyday Dragonforce show.
I first was introduced to Dragonforce during 2008’s Mayhem Fest. I loved them, and had so much fun shooting them that when I saw that they were playing at the House of Blues, I knew I had to shoot them again. I’m so glad I went. This show was even better than the first one. The band was constantly trying to one-up each other… I love bands that are musically talented and don’t take themselves too seriously. Totally grounded.
