I’ve had a few people ask me about editing lately, so I thought I would do something a little different today and do a step-by-step look into my editing process.   Since I always enjoy looking at how others achieve effects in photos, I might make this a semi-regular feature.  What do you think? Mest headlined the “One Night Stand” Tour (which also featured the previously blogged about Quietdrive). This tour marks the first time that Mest has been back out on the road since January of 2006.

Mest has a very interesting history, filled with stabbings and side-projects (if you don’t know about it, you should check out their Wikipedia page). They are also originally from Chicago, so I was very interested to see them.  This show featured singer Tony Lovato’s brother, Steve Lovato on bass, and Good Charlotte’s old drummer, Chris Wilson. I have previously blogged about Quietdrive, when they were in town a month or so ago for the “Cancel Out Cancer” benefit show. This time around, Quietdrive was playing in Chicago as main support for Mest on the “One Night Stand Tour.”

I have seen Quietdrive perform several times, in various venues, and they truly shine when they play at the House of Blues. From the second Kevin Truckenmiller walked out decked out in all white (down to white-rimmed sunglasses), to the end of the set the floor did not stop shaking from the mass of jumping fans. (more…)

I just got back from shooting the last stop of the Uncle Fest tour at the House of Blues tonight.

It was a fun show, all the bands had lots of energy, and I met some really great people. I wanted to post a few pictures, since a few caught my eye as I was sorting through them.
